Mobility 2045 – MPO CORE Open House

MPC’s MPO CORE NEEDS YOUR INPUT! COME MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!

The Coastal Region (CORE) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) the transportation planning organization for the Savannah Metropolitan area is in the process of developing an updated Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), for the Savannah metropolitan area.

The MTP is a comprehensive “blueprint” for area transportation services aimed at meeting mobility needs through the next 20+ years.

The CORE MPO is hosting a series of community meetings on the update to the MTP.

The community meetings will provide the public with information about the plan update process and schedule, and involve community members in the identification of goals and issues to be addressed.

You are cordially invited to attend these meetings and share with us your transportation concerns and vision for the future of transportation in our area.

Water Restrictions

Water Restrictions are Still in Place!

Chatham County is still under outdoor watering restrictions. The GA Water Stewardship Act of 2010 limits water use for everyone in Georgia in efforts to prevent saltwater contamination of our water source, the Floridan Aquifer. Using too much water can draw out freshwater causing saltwater to be pulled in from the ocean- YUCK!

So be in the know:

Don’t water on Fridays!

Don’t water any day between 10am-4pm!

AND- know which day you can water:

Thanks for helping keep our water supply salt free!
